Couldn't future firmwares just patch the exploit then?

If the UPDATE folder is treated specially, maybe a homebrew launcher which runs in the UPDATE folder, which can then run homebrews in kernel mode?
IDK much about how the PSP works internally though.

Sony is always changing the nids, so yes patching anything hackers make will be easy for Sony. But when wee can sigh homebrew creating an exploit should be very easy. Anything running from UPDATE run must in VSH mode, so I don't think that will work.

As things stand now:

Sony releases 6.35
Hackers look high and low to find a exploit
Hackers make a CFW
Sony patches it with a new OFW

When hackers can sing homebrew:

Sony releases 6.35
Hackers make and sign a exploit
Hackers make a CFW
Sony patches it with a new OFW

Hmm, maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see how signing an exploit permanently allows it to work on future firmwares... :/

Yeah, sorry I need sleep I guess. For every new OFW, a new exploit is needed. Since hackers can sing homebrew they don't need to rely on tiff, game saves, etc.

Yeah that's right, Davee also said that he would release the downgrader app he made once he was feeling better, still haven't seen it though ...
hellcat is going to release Recovery Flasher 1.64 and he said he is able to downgrade from 6.35 hen to 5.00 m33. Drink
