I just spent $16,69 (13 euros) on the following:
1GB memory card
MP3 player
Portable speaker
Cable for mp3 player «> speaker
"That must sound like spoon!"
Indeed, but that doesn't matter, because here's my plan:
I'm going to put some elevator muzak on the memory card and plug it into the mp3 player. I will then put the mp3 player on repeat as it remains connected to the power at all times. I'll then run a cable through an existing hole to the portable speaker, inside my bathroom, and connect it's power to the light switch.
Is that awesome or what?
Surprise your parents and other family members with it. That's what I'd do. Especially since it's the bathroom.
Yeah, there's a few minor problems to iron out (access the wires for the power discretely) but I should be able to get it working over the weekend (after i get the stuff) and mount it in our bathroom and surprise mah roommates xD

well its not hard, take out the light mount and there ya go, a case for the mp3 player AND free power

do you have any concept of what plugging an mp3 player directly into the mains will do :/

well if he wired the madjigys up to the mp3 players official charger then nothing bad will happen
Yeah... do us a favor and wear rubber gloves when you decide to hook it up, so you can report on the success and/or failiure of this plan.
