Endless Paradigm

So I went on vacation with my family over the past week, and with 4 hour commutes, some other long drives in the back seat and a couple late night gaming sessions, I destroyed THE THIRD BIRTHDAY

Now let me tell you, that is 1 KICKASS game!! My understanding of the plot is rough at best, since my japanese still sucks donkey. But MOST of the cutscenes played flawlessly (no lag), aside from the final (and longest!! ) cutscene. but hey you can't complain for free! :P

For such an intense game, the gameplay (from sd card!!) is SO SMOOTH. the only time you ever experience any slowdown is for like 2 seconds right when some levels are introduced. then its back to smooth sweetness.

Now for any of you who may be playing and haven't mastered japanese like me, I want to mention something that was seriously SCREWIng me over till I figured it out. At first I thought you could only overdrive into other allies, but when the triangle thing goes over your enemy after you been beating the spoon out of it, you can overdrive into it and do some serious damage, as well as possibly getting A DNA chip!!!
That screwed me over when fighting the one of the bosses cause you can't do fudgeen 0 damage until you overdrive into that mother fudgeer!!!

IF YOU ARE PLAYING AND NEED HELP UNDERSTANDING double you tee eff TO DO. some of this stuff is like no spoon sherlock, but fudge it:

first gameplay controls:

Change weapon: Hold L and then use triangle,X,O,Square.. DERR
Aim: Hold R
Fire: Square, DERRR
Overdrive: Triangle
Grenade: O
Dive: X
LIBERATION: Triangle + O - this is some sick spoon, you can only do it if your liberation meter is full (DERRR!)

Little trick!! - just hit L button to do quick reload of weapon. i had to figure that 1 out..

for sniper scope: R to aim, then L to change Zoom level.


NEXT in the OPTIONS MENU when you use the computer station

OE Chip:
Now you might be saying double you tee eff is OE chip.. ok when you overdrive you sometimes extract spoon called a DNA chip. when you go to the OE chip place in the computer station, you can place these weird chips on a DNA board (that's what i call it at least). there are 9 spots (a 3x3 grid) to place these chips. some chips come in 2, they look like 0-0. others come in three 0-0-0. Notice how those were horizontal, well others come in vertical pairs and triplets. and each "node" or spot has a different property.. BARE WITH ME NOOB!!

ok so lets say wee have a horizontal node pair 0-0, and they are both health nodes, place them on the grid FOO!! that was easy.. what gets weird is when you go to put another node on the grid and you overlap a node that was already there.. when you do that, a mutation thing occurs, and sometimes the node will increase in level, decrease or the property will completely change!! what is cool is taht you get to test out different mutations before you apply the node.. Use the SQUARE to mutate and see different results... you'll know how to do the rest from there.. im not gonna bother listing the node types and spoon.. figure it for yourself!!

this game is a tad easier than most FPS/shooter rpg that comes in psp, and the ending is a more meh, i think the story is passable but not so great, i still prefer Parasite eve 2's story better

I should let you know it was my first fps shooter for PSP, and also my first parasite Eve ^_^ . i still thought it was really fun haha

Fps shooters for psp tottaly blow donkey because of the lack of second analog stick...

I had already crushed this game loong ago :P

I on the otherhand had 0 slow downs and 0 lag unlike uuuuuu

Dwfinetely buying this game when it get's turned into english... Ending sucked but gameplay was fine compared to most fps's for psp...

Played the first Parasite Eve ages ago.  Hmmm.... so that's why the name sounds familiar....

The first Parasite Eve was legendary. One of the best games of all time. I never could get into it's sequel though. It pretty much lost the original gameplay the first one had. I have a feeling this one is the same =(

my favorite fps for psp was the first coded arms.

you could map the move buttons to the triangle, square, circle, cross buttons, so it played like a computer shooter.

that's really the only way to play a shooter on the psp.
