I current have WinRAR v3.51 and i want to update to a more recent version. i have a sort-of registry thing (rarreg.key which i suppose is a crack in a way) on my current version (3.51) and i was just wondering if i upgraded to 3.70, would that rarreg.key thing still be in place and work?

i know i could just download a new crack for the newer version, but i was just wondering. the same goes for other programs like WinAVI Video Converter etc, would it work for them too?
no becasue winrar would realise that ur running a trial expired version and would make you pay

that's what i think

but why don't u jus delete that registry entry and when install 3.70 there will be clean rareg.key

The rarreg.key is basically the thing you get when you buy WinRAR so its basically the serial except its not a serial. If i install 3.70 alone i know there will be a clean rarreg.key which is a bad thing, because that would just say trial. the rarreg.key i have says it is registered :P
I've been using the  trial version of 3.60 for a long time, and it stilll lets me use winrar
i know you can still use it, i just hate that everytime you open it, it comes up with a message box saying "blah blah 40 days blah blah you'res has expired blah blah"
You can always get a 3.70 crack if you want.  But generally, there's probably no need to update.
yeah i guess...
