#BSS: Yes, wee're releasing the movie (on Monday, fudge Amazon)

lol... guess that's BSS. I have my doubts over a Sunday release from Doki so...

Apart from the cover (which can be scanned, uploaded, and printed if you want so much), does it come with additional stuff?

I'll wait for a BD rip.  Isn't this just a summary of the first season though?
/goes check for plot summary.

EDIT: from ANN
Quote:Takamachi Nanoha is a normal fourth-grader who feels a little useless and out-of-place with no purpose. Then one day, she saves a ferret, who turns out to be a mage from another planet who came to this planet to search for the jewl seeds. Nanoha agrees to help, but this task gets complicated when another girl arrives to 'borrow' them.
:/

Noticed interesting genre on AniDB:
Quote:Erotic Game, Fantasy, Mahou Shoujo, Seinen
^ Don't think that's true?

Just because there's some nudity doesn't mean it's ero, though that's from experience with the anime anyway.
Also it feels a little more Shonen then Seinen but that could be what I usually seem to automatically associate Seinen with.
So there was a game on it?

I'd probably say more shoujo than seinen.  The concept of a girl fighting for her own sense of justice and to be absurdly kind to everyone seems to be a trait of shoujo anime.

No, but I'm not totally denying the fact that movie I haven't seen is ero.
(Actually maybe I am denying it 100%)
Nanoha is based off Trigangle Heart which I think was a game. Don't really know much about it.

Hmm, right.

The release by Doki IS a BD Rip. And the Movie 1st is supposedly an "alternative take" on the first season with it completely being reanimated from scratch, using no materials from the first season production.

I'm probably gonna see the Doki release later. Can't wait much more :[
Well it says not from a BDMV source?
Dunno what it means...

Wiki says "All BD-ROM application files are stored under a “BDMV” directory" - I think they may be implying they didn't encode from the raw files and used a raw from somewhere else. I mean they aren't going to upscale a DVD raw, surely?

* S7* goes to check

Edit: well the filename DOES have "BD" in it..

Edit2: Looks proper to me. Oh, she does look different Noway

Hardly looks 720p worthy.

If they're using someone else's raw, that makes sense then.
Watched it yesterday!

Spoiler for Nanoha-first-timers, not so much for people who have seen the series:
It was excellent, didn't disappoint and overall, I'd say I prefer the movies take on the story than the series. The transformation sequences are superb and the battles as epic, if not more than you expect. There were times it felt a little slow in the second half but it managed to keep enough momentum for its wonderful ending.

Doki's LQ version is fine if you want plain and simple subs. There was some odd translations here and there and the timing was off sometimes but it's perfectly watchable.

I'll definitely be re-watching it soon... and can't wait for Movie 2nd!
