How were you effected?
I personally can't think of any, I know theres 9/11 and all but that didnt directly effect me.

I drove through the eye of a hurricane one time, but that's about it lol.
Survived two car crashes and almost drowned in the beach one time...and some other
stuff
practically every year when storms and hurricanes move past us lolz
but by far the worst was -

i live in san fernando (lower right side)
right now, im in angeles city (2nd ring, right side)
much has changed since that calamity but pplz managed to get back up on their feet :p

Yep and every year theres always one that tries to outdo the other.
Good thing I live on higher ground so it never really floods in my area. Also I am almost always around to help pack and distribute relief goods to victims after these typhoons.

I wasn't alive back then but I remember the stories of my parents waking up to their whole room full of ash because it spread everywhere

Natural disasters, nothing. I've had to put up with none of mother nature's bullchocolate, which is amazing. Tsunamis are always a worry, though.
In terms of injuries, broken my right arm, twice.
Since I live near the coast in the Gulf of Mexico when hurricane season comes wee have to be pretty alert. but so far nothing really disastrous has happened to me.
