i been passionately collecting ps2, psp, and ps3 games, with some wii and ds games.
whenever a collector's/limited/special edition comes out, it was always the one i get. to count, about 400+ titles. looking at their value i spent, it's quite alot, selling them, will give maybe 40-60% of what i spent.

last game i played for a long time was starcraft 2, actively for 6 weeks, all my free time. i still play it, casually. on a console, i think FF13.

but in the last few months, my motivation for playing just drained out, i used to play games 10-15 hours a day in my high school - college days, now 2-3 hours.
maybe because I'm always tired (6x a week, 8-10 hours a night of work), or maybe just because i been playing since 5 years old, to count, that's 20 years of my life with video games. getting too old for video games eh?

i been thinking of these for some days now, and i plan to stop buying just to collect, sell after finishing it, and if i decide to stop playing a game, I'll sell it right away, so no turning back. also those i bought just for the sake of having them, till i manage to sell everything. I'm kinda obsessive, so my only choice is to get rid of them for me not to get back to them.

i got a x360 2 weeks ago, then returned it a week after.

maybe it's time for me to stop. i lost my appreciation to them, i buy them, i start them, play them for 2-3 days, then i just stop playing them and they get forgotten.

last game i plan to buy would be assassin's creed brotherhood. i canceled my collector's edition order from gamestop, also canceled my codex edition[eu only release]. i still ordered the regular edition, since i enjoyed the story of AC2, and kinda quite excited with this sequel. and after beating it, i plan to sell it right away. it will be my last video game purchase, unless a super epic JRPG comes out in the future. also canceled all my pre-orders, except the super mario all-stars limited ed for wii.

unconsciously, i been spending all my free time for the last few months, watching anime and building gundam model kits, which i both enjoy.

practically thinking, this is a good decision for my life, for those who know me in real life for a long time, this plan of mine could be impossible, but I'm quite decided.
i could save (you know, for the future!) or spend the money on something else
(more anime boxsets, gunpla and figures!)

also, i need to fix my sleeping hours, need to get 8 hours of sleep a day. been sleeping for only  4-6 hours per day recently.
need to sleep now. good night.

TLDR = I'll stop buying video games and sell all my games gradually.
good luck
i hope everything works out for you.
i'd keep your figure buying at the same level

because you still buy a lot of figures ^^"

that way you'll have money saved for whenever its really needed

because you do still have figures which are boxed away and not displayed in all their glory, maybe the space you had for games will go toward proudly displaying some of those wonderfully crafted figures.

If you do, display the Alter K-ON! ones, it'd kill me if i knew they were in their boxes not on display. ^^"
:/

send me your stuff? Hihi

yeah some of us might be interested in your items hecai xP
i think you take your games too fast, and like granted (it is kindda granted since you can afford em all too easily) =/ and people get bored of granted stuffs fast.
that said, who knows what i might be in the next few years =P
had the same thingy,. not as many games you have but still,. sold 20+ games 2 weeks back,. i had just did't play them anymore,. kept all the games i had really like,. eg Bayonetta, Darksiders etc etc

sold>> spiderman, All GoW, Lego HP&IJ,...

i had wanted to keep them but its nicer to have a collection of games wich i would want to play again ;)
Good at least to take a break and perhaps try other things :)
there's a part of my mind that wants video games, but there's also a part that i want to quit them. I'm quite uncontrollable with my spending spree, it's like an addiction, as i have said before.  i know that i should not just spend and spend, but when i see something, i just buy it. i feel like I'm on self-destruction. so better quit them, before i regain my interest on them.

and so i thought, i am creating my own heaven, but i might end up creating my own hell.

i will try to focus on my gunpla hobby.
i will be painting my gundam model kits (gunpla), gonna try airbrushing them, need to buy an air compressor (quite pricey). i used to paint them using some paint brushes, but comparing the results with those airbrushed ones, the latter are much better.
