Well it's been like that for a short period now, but at time of writing, according to Google:
1 Australian dollar = 1.01500 U.S. dollars

That's right, Australian dollar > US dollar.

So some of you yanks should probably consider coming down under to share in this wealth wee have on the backside of the world.  Apparently our anthem claims that wee have "golden soil and wealth", and right now, it's probably true for once.

Now, only if prices of various things would come down more...

When I was in NZ, NZ dollar was about 0.78 US dollars, but that was 11 months ago lol.

For one, our dollars are quite light and aren't as heavy as pounds.

Sadly the USD isn't living up to the gold standard anymore, hate inflation worse thing to happen to my economy.

The Gold standard was abolished quite a while ago, for these sorts of reasons...

0.704834 EUR. DealExtreme and others are so cheap nowadays.
I guess this is actually a good thing, but at the moment money doesn't mean much to me.
