I watch 'em like once or twice and then skip, unless I really like them.
all depends on the anime and the music in the opening and ending.

If i like the music i don't mind watching it, gets you in the mood and all that.

When the anime is getting good and it leaves you on a cliff hanger or something i skip it as i want to watch moooar right away.
I think I made a thread on this already.
I make it a habit to watch them at least once per show (or per new op/ed)
but after that I usually skip them if I'm watching a bunch of episodes in a row.
It depends with the anime. On some animes, I skip those two like at Chobits, I skipped the OP and ED starting from Ep 2 until the end. But on some cases like Highschool Of The Dead, I don't skip the OP and ED, because like what you all said, it sets the mood, and also, the ED of HOTD is different on all episodes, and like at Clannad, where I got LSS with the ED and OP.
depends on the opening.

always skip endings.

^ this.

I can't say I can think of any I particularly disliked, but yeah it gets you in the mood, that's why I count it towards an animes value.

I remember now, I skipped the OP and ED for Somedays Dreamers. I was looking to see if anything would happen. It didn't. I dropped it.
I watch the opening and ending for the first episode that has it. (Or if it's a new one, if it changed half-way through the season/series)
The OP also gives me time to do something quickly before the episode gets going
Likewise with the ED, it'll play while on my laptop i update my list and talk to people.

Admittedly i attempt (badly) to sing along too, but i am learning japanese so it helps intination and enunciation
Err, yeah ignoring my last post.
I usually watch it once and skip it every time until it changes unless I find the song catchy.
Credits I usually don't watch. While they may not be that long I still do want to save time.
