AniDB rates yesy higher.  Personally don't really notice differences, and stuff there may be biased, but I'll just go with whatever is voted the highest anyway.

That may or may not be because yesy's actually better.  A large amount of people out there hate gg because they're trolls (though I personally don't really care too much).  If you look, there's a whole lot of really low votes, like 1's and 2's and 3's, those are probably all from haters.  The other group, Chihiro also has a lot of haters, because they used to be WAY FUCKING BAD back then in the early days (they're not that bad any more).

gg leave TV commercials and weather reports and in the middle of their encodes (this is intentional), write random stuff in their chapter titles, sometimes screws with their subs (I mean the script), sometimes makes their encode sizes unnaturally large (what Sensei mentioned), and stuff like that.  Oh, and the comments and whatever poo poo they say on their website are also known to make people rage.

So basically, if I can bypass their clowning around by going with another group, why not?

All up to you.  All depends on how willing you are to wait.

I'm just saying, if you can't wait, then gg is good, because they generally produce decent quality stuff (trolls doesn't mean bad), if you don't mind the occasional ad in the middle of an apisode.  If you're willing to wait, then by all means get yesy if you like them better.  Or alternatively, you may choose to wait another 6 months for BDs (I do that a lot, though usually not intentionally).

Kimi ni Todoke 2nd 08, for fans of romance anime, is just gold. I shan't say more about that other than Ep09 can't come quicker!

Zombie 07 was so funny - along with Beelzebub wee have some genuinely hilarious shows this season.

I didn't like episode 7 of Zombie that much though :/
