I'd say being pretentious is fine. You have, after all, given up a lot of your free time.
It's not like they ever had any obligation to keep doing anything.

as far as other programmers I'm sure tons of them are out there. Not like this is super complicated or anything, but they probably have better things to do, better devices to work on, or just plain can't be bothered lol
