I know there was a topic on headphones a while back, but I don't feel like looking for that topic. So with that, I'm looking to replace my Skullcandies since the right earbud blew out. I prefer in-ear headphones.

Thanks,
-DC
for a start don't get skullcandies again

i would recommend sennheiser or sony as a good place to start
^ I second the opinion of this gentleman.

I've had great experiences with Audio Technica as well so check them out too.

Oh wait

Oh - earphones. lol.

I use Sennheiser CX-300-II and they are hands down the best I've had to date. With the right bud size the bass you get from them is impressive and it's as quality as you'd expect of Sennheiser. Cheap, too.
Like PB said, sennheiser for sure. I never owned a pair of Sony's, I will tell you that sennheiser are very good.
completely unrelated, but i just ordered these: http://www.skullcandy.com/shop/hesh-shat...rasta.html

Thanks Proper. I was looking into some new headphones. Now I don't have to make a thread for it.
Or just search around for large comparisons and look at the summaries.
I find that known brands do have good quality, but price lower end products at a premium (eg, you pay for the brand).
I have a set of Yuin PK2 earbuds, and although bass replication isn't particularly great, they are purportedly one of the best un-amped earphones on the market.

I also have a set of Sennheiser HD25 headphones, which are just clearly win, although not in-ear.

Have thought about getting Skullkandy, but the wooden ones (I forget the brand) on the other thread looked pretty cool.  I think they were an eco-hippy-tree-hugging brand, but meh.

Edit: Found LumpiaWarrior's post.
