so here i have an iphone 3g 8GB which i restored to version 3.1.2
so i could unlock it .. (previous owner forgot her 4-digit passkey .. wow)

anyway... i couldnt get spirit or blackra1n to jailbreak it so i could do the whatevers...

so yeah. im pretty much stuck here...

Hmm.. you can try JailbreakMe.

but i can't get in to the device.. it just shows the "connect to itunes" screen :(

its just that.. or the emevergency calls screen

just simply restore it if have save your SHSH blobs. or update it to 4.1 but im not sure if the unlock is already released.

What's stopping the jailbreak? In recovery mode it shouldnt matter if it has a pin.

im back to restoring this piece of trash but that stupid unknown 2003 error keeps popping up

using itunes 10 on a win7 x86 machine with an iphone 3.1.2 restore ipsw

cables used are in working condition

try restoring with 2.1? I don't remember itunes allowing me to do it with anything else other than the most up to date and 2.1. But it's been a while... ^^'
