So I sit here right now at my friends house as he invited me for a sleep-over but as he had a hard day at work, he's already sleeping
I decided to play Tekken 6 a bit without sound on his PS3 as I got it today for cheap 20€ at GameStop. To be honest, fighters are not my games and I only bought it for some multiplayer fun with people from EP but honestly I think about returning it.
First of all I don't want to insult one of the greatest fighting series but I really can't get into it, I suspect it's not the games fault but mine, really....
The only fighting games I really enjoyed so far:
Tekken 3
DoA 2 and 4
Soul Blade (Soul Calibur felt too slow compared to Soul Blade for me.)
SF 2 Turbo and SF 4
BlazBlue Calamity Trigger
Dragonball Z Ultimate Battle 22
Now, it's been ages (literally) since I last played a Tekken game but in my two hours now playing Tekken 6, I seriously asked myself, was Tekken always so slowish? oO
I know Tekken is all about combos and such, but it feels just slow to me.....
Though maybe I'm just a bit spoiled from the insane battle speeds of DoA4....^^'
In any case, I never try to button mash if I play fighters (I had the entire DoA 2 moveset of Ayane and Kazumi memorised 5 years ago) but no matter what I tried I couldn't pull anything worthwhile off in Tekken 6.
Plus what's with the Arena Mode? That Azazel whatever thing is insanity for newcomers...
Really I don't want to blame the game it's more likely me, but sorry to all EP members who looked forward to play with me, I'm most likely going to return it, unless a multiplayer session tomorrow with my friend changes my mind....
