At first I thought games that weren't remote play enabled probably ran really slow and lagged terribly.
I was wrong, the first game I tried this on was Killzone 2 and it ran surprisingly well no audio lag, buttons were responsive, and the video was smooth without any hiccups.
How to:
1. Dump any game of your choice to your hdd
2. Install Ps3 FTP and launch it
3. Connect via ftp and navigate to your hdd folder then to games » LAUN12345 » GAMEZ » YOUR GAME ID » PS3_GAME
4. Now copy PARAM.SFO and make a backup of it just in case
5. Download SFO Editor open the sfo and check "enable remote play"
6. Save it and then open up the FTP and transfer the modded sfo back into the PS3_GAME folder.
7. Now connect your psp in remote play and enjoy.
Kudos to theblacksheep for discovering this.
Update: I tested this using the pc remote play and it didn't work, only seems to be working on the psp.
* Obviously your PS3 must be jailbroken to do this

The game video is streamed and the controls remapped. Sony lets you play some games this way. Hellcat made a tool some time ago to edit PNS games to allow remote play and someone released a FTP for the hack.
By the way the FTP application was made with the Official SDK and is not legal.

Quote:Wee have been told by Mathieulh that this application has been compiled with the official SDK, As such links to the software are prohibited.
The homebrew SDK can not create applications that run on a PS3, it can not create the .pkg file need to install the application. So, all PS3 application you will see for the next months have been made with the official SDK making them illegal.

Yes, illegal. Not awake yet...
Another reason for me to buy a PS3 while it's still sorta cheap.
VERY sweet hack right here, sweet to see more homebrew/hack for the ps3 scene. Sadly though, as said the Ps3 FTP app is created with the leaked sony SDK so it does make it illegal. Im going to remove the download for the time being, it can easily be found searching google or any other ps3 news site. Soon the ps3 ftp server should be ported with the open source SDK once devs make it better. No hard feeling shizzy, im still glad you posted this :P
