Ok lets say you have a sony console/handheld such as a psp,psp-go or a ps3 and your 1-year limited manufacturer's warranty just ended right when one those consoles/handhelds goes brick on you, what do you do?go to a friend (thinking maybe they can fix it) or maybe buy the pieces you need online to fix it yourself cause you know you're not going to pay $150 for sony to fix it (since the warranty ended). No you don't have to pay a $150 but for just $50 you can buy another warranty (using the playstation notwork to buy it) and get it fix that way.here take a look [Image: esp_ps3pic.jpg] http://us.playstation.com/support/protec...01_PPlan_Hthey finally do something right...
that's pretty cool i suppose. They are thinking along the right track, saves you from having to get a new console, or turning to the dark side and hacking it.

I'm not exactly sure it works that way.  I think warranty is like an insurance - you can buy it once something has already happened - it's just there to give you some reassurance.
Or maybe they do allow it, you'll need to check with that.
Either case, whether or not they'll find out is something different, but I think this will only really seem reasonable is if your thing breaks straight after the warranty period.

Otherwise, it's just another extended warranty scheme.
I think I'd spend a bit more time focusing on my grammar than worrying about warranties...?

please, shut the fuck up.

Sony don't do much wrong at all, seriously. NO software is invincible, where there is a will, there is a way. It's just a matter of time until a software gets hacked if people want it to be hacked that badly.

doing something wrong would be Sony going: "hey, you want it hacked, here's own own service stuff... free of charge!"

leaks are NOT Sony's fault as a company... it is the untrustworthy employees that do it. no company can know if an employee is untrustworthy if they hide it.

the PS3 has been out for 3 years, and hasn't been fully hacked successfully to run backups until now. imo that's pretty spectacular and a huge win for Sony.

now im not saying Sony hasn't made mistakes... PSP FW 1.50 for example was the reason every single other firmware has been hacked. but Sony are slowly rectifying that error, with new motherboards that cannot be hacked properly.

if you think Sony does nothing right then why are you even interested in their consoles? take your business elsewhere and stop complaining.

goddamn i hate it when people say bullshit like this.

Running backups is a huge win for Sony ? Really ? I mean REALLY ??

are you dense?

the PSP is hacked
the DS is hacked
the XBox is hacked
the Xbox 360 is hacked
the Wii is hacked
the iPhone and iPod Touch are... you guessed it! Hacked!

and now the PS3 finally becomes the last major console to get hacked...

it is a loss for to be hacked now

but a huge win for their programming to have survived hacking attempts for this long.

you people annoy me

you only look to bash the companies that give you such great hardware

if i were MS or Sony i'd stop bothering because of people like you, sniffing out for every single fault i make.
