Art of the Fortnight Rules and Regulations
These rules shall apply to ALL Art of the Fortnight competitions and will be STRICTLY enforced. Failure to abide by these rules WILL result in a disqualfication. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
Entry Period Rules
NO nudity, po rn, etc. You WILL be disqualified and WILL NOT be allowed to compete in the next round of competition as well. A second offense will result in a PERMANENT ban from ALL Art of the Fortnight events. Those who break this rule may also face the wrath of Lord Zinga and his mighty Banhammer, so consider yourself warned.
NO RIPPING!! Stealing another person's art and claiming it as your own WILL result in disqualification from the round AND a PERMANENT ban from ALL Art of the Fortnight events. To prevent any confusion, I'll clarify what is and is not considered ripping:
*Using stocks and renders in the creation of your entries does NOT qualify as ripping.
*Taking someone else's finished work from somewhere like deviantART and claiming it as your own IS ripping and WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
I trust all of you here, so I doubt I'll ever have to enforce this rule. However, I feel it needs to be there just in case...
ALL entries must be new! Art of the Fortnight is about creativity, so there's no point entering if all you're going to do is re-use old works.
You may not ask another person to post your entry for you. This is just to prevent any confusion.
Collaborations (where TWO people work together to create one entry) will be allowed in the AotF competitions. However, I ask that you keep it to only TWO people per collaboration entry please. Also, one collaboration entry per person, please (this is to prevent individuals from being part of multiple collaborations). Whoever submits the collaboration entry must also list the username of the person he/she collaborated with. Finally, if you are part of a collaboration entry, you may STILL submit an individual entry as well.
You are allowed to edit your entry until the end of the Entry Period.
If you are eXx1l3d from EP during the entry period, your entry will be disqualified.
Voting Period Rules
Voting will commence at the end of Entry Period and will run for THREE DAYS alongside the start of the next Entry Period. After running two SOTW competitions here before, I noticed that most of the voting occured within the first three days. So when the Voting Peroid starts, make sure you vote ASAP! The top three entries will be announced at the end of the Voting Period and the winning entry will be placed in the Art of the Fortnight Hall of Fame.
You are NOT allowed to vote for your own entry. Otherwise, everybody would vote for their own entry and nobody would win.
ANY attempt to artificially manipulate the voting will result in an IMMEDIATE ban from all Art of the Fortnight competitions. You may have to face the wrath of Lord Zinga as well. This can include: Asking other people to vote for your entry, using duplicate accounts to vote for your entry, etc. Again, I trust all of you here, so I doubt I'll ever have to enforce this.
If you are eXx1l3d from EP during the voting period, your entry will still be allowed to prevent any complications with the voting poll. However, you will not be allowed to enter an Art of the Fortnight competition until one week after your return.
