You really should stop using the drive, or do as little as possible until you can run a disk check, preferably one that doesn't run in Windows.
I don't have any blank disks ^^'
I'm prepared for such a scenario though, I've got a legit Vista install on the other drive. It won't be the first time I've had to let chkdisk run to sort out a lot of stuff - only difference is that it's more severe this time around and I thought the drive might be dying...
Found it.

The tools on this CD will recover more files then chkdisk and can tell you if the problem is because of hardware or not.
Got a thumb drive?

Ran chkdisk overnight, was working like crazy and run for 6hrs 30~mins. Everything seems good now.
Strangely though, chkdisk seemed to destroy/remove the Win7 Loader, I reinstalled it and all is well... bit odd though..
In a mysterious turn of a events, when I thought all was well.... well it is except my Steam folder (which had CounterStrike: Source, Day of Defeat: Source, Mirrors Edge, Portal and Audiosurf amongst others) has been completely emptied white no sign except fro the entry in Programs/Features remaining. double you tee eff?
Friend of mine had that happen before....wasn't to do witgh chkdsk, but it just vanished. Tis poo poo when it happens :(
The robots are beginning their attack!
I'm with xitherun boot ubuntu.
lol, Firefox has "vanished" and things are corrupting again. Only £31 for a replacement, may as well get one with my first parts for The Core 8 when the time comes at the end of the month...
Well I've confirmed it's my drive...
Oh well ~_~
