Apple is still allowing 4.0.1 to be installed (download the ipsw from i ternet the plug into itunes and hold shift on pc and press restore and it will let uou pick the ipsw to restore) but the window will close VERY soon and then you will either be stuck on 4.0 or happy on 4.0.1 because all apple will allow you to install is 4.0.2...which just blocks the jailbreak exploit. :(
