This just started the day before yesterday. I went to go hook my laptop up to the outlet I usually use at work and noticed that no power was going to my laptop. Shrugged it off and just used one on the other side of the room. When I got home, I went to go plug it up to the outlet I usually use and the same thing happened. Now I'm at my mom's house and the same thing is happening. I'm thinking I may just go pick up a new charger but I've never seen this happen.
sucks. Chargers are expensive as balls. I paid like $60 for a new one. D:
Hmm, how well do those "generic chargers" work? I do recall seeing some of those chargers designed for many devices. (few different plugs + voltage selector; IDK if there's some amperage requirement (there shouldn't be, right?))
yea its best to gett a new charger.
my guy bought a laptop from this guy, and it worked fine for like 2 weeks, but then it wouldnt charge while the lappy was on, and at some times it wouldnt charge at all, he got a new charger and its all back to normal
I had to get a new one recently. Fucking expensive but it makes the internet workable so who cares?
Mine broke recently too.
But it's just a problem with the cord, so it's fixable. You figure out where it's broken, cut it open, and connect it again.

No no no no no. I think I'm on the third laptop where I've replaced voltage regulation circuitry on the motherboard after its owner plugged in a generic charger set at the wrong voltage. You could get one but make sure EVERY TIME you plug it in that it's set to the correct voltage.

Another idea. It works unless the break is right by the plug. If you can find a new plugh then you're sorted.
If I were you get on eBay, search fol "laptop charger 19v 4.74a" or whatever the voltage an current rating is on your charger, filter out sellers outside the US (to filter out most of the cheap Chinese rubbish) then go through each listing to see if yours is compatible with that charger. I got a replacement for my laptop for £7 whereas an official Toshiba one is £60. It works fine. The only problem I have with it is that the cable is a little too short for my liking.
toshiba laptop chargers break all the time, my girl has gone through like 3 of them the past year.
If you have a toshiba get some generic brand they last longer
I believe this one got too hot and will only work on outlets that are adjacent to ones that have many things hooked up to it(them). Gonna head to a store and see if I can find one.

No! eBay!
