Assassinator Wrote: [ -> ]However awesome, I can never watch the same thing 4 times.

The second time always sucks, know exactly what's going to happen.

But with this movie the second time around you'll notice more things and piece some stuff together. . .4 times is a little too much though lol

4 IS a little much but I agree that seeing it a second time is worth it. Some of the details are easy to miss, like!
Spoiler for SPOILER:
In reality Cobb is never wearing his wedding ring but in the "dream" states he is
This movie is FUCKING AWESOME!!!
Tl;dr thread
I've not watched it in Imax since wee have traumas when watched Clash of the titans in 3D format (where you only see 3d images in the kraken fight)

anyway i like to watch it again since my mind still boogles me with the theme in it

Spoiler:
my theory for this is that Codd is still inside the dream, since most all the events happened in the movie is a dream, and the one doing the inception is his wife which she was escaped the dream after she fell of from the building
that movie was great. Best movie I've seen in a while.
Downloaded BR rip, watched it.

Interesting is all I can say now.  I somewhat lost track of it at various places, so can't fully take it in.
I quite like the idea nonetheless - quite a good movie.
best. movie. ever.
its a great concept this movie, it really is. But it disturbs on how movies are now made. Do you realize that the whole movie had no actual character development. The character development was what he did in the past, there was no interactions between character whether it be love or hate or animosity. One cannot consider the multitude of interactions in the movie to justify character development. Movies and the power to captivate someone has always shown a high degree of character development...ie. Every other good movie.

Also this movie is based purely on the idea of a virtual reality. What if dreams were real and you could implement an 'idea'. Wow this movie has changed the concept of movies and the directors and writers of this movie have taken the perspective of a virtual reality and put it into a movie and suddenly its really popular.

Can you argue that if this movie had came out 15 years ago would it be just as popular?

I honestly don't think so. Many people could have written it off as some stupid movie.

It just uses the personal appeal of today's technology and changes it into a sci fi that makes you think. And although some people may not want to think. You just can't not pay attention otherwise you will get lost in the confusion of it all.

I watched this movie 4 times while it was still in theaters and each time I watched it, I understood just how complex the movie is. Its mind boggling.

And yet no character development. From beginning to end, the whole movie stays from point A to point A. Because the main character (Leonardo D'Caprio) always spoke about being stuck in a dream and how the dream with his wife somehow became a reality to them. The real thing. That being said, how do you know whether or not the whole thing is just another illusion of his human mind unto itself.

How do you know that what happened in the movie actually happened?

You don't and that's exactly what makes you think. Because I'll be honest every time I watched it, it was always the kind of movie that just compelled me to watch it again. And quite frankly, I am not the type of person to watch it again in theatres. I would have just waited for the dvd to get out and bought it.

In lieu of that I will be purchasing this movie just so I can reanalyze the movie because I want to be captivated by a movie that I felt changed the way movies are going to be made in the near future.

Like I said watch it again, since you know the major plot look and think about the little things and it hits you like a ton of bricks. It almost made me want to spoon myself because its so "WOW".

I think this is largely true for many things.
Take today's top popular music and if you brought it back about 50 years, I don't think it'd be anywhere near as popular.

You don't and that's exactly what makes you think.
I think you just have to assume it just does.  You could apply the question to many things (even Pokemon) and in the end, you'd get nowhere, so you just have to assume what seems to happen just happens...
That's what I think anyway.
yeah after watching it the second time, i noticed stuff, and realised spoon that i didnt before, like when i watched back to the future
