yeah i coulda spent a couple days doing the reseach myself but come on , im not like a real newb, im shady!
plus with all  my great friends here at EP im sure someone would be glad to help.

thanks for the help in advance
well the last m33 is 5.00 i think.... never really bothered getting on the GEN bandwagon...... personally i only used my psp for general emulation so 5.00 was good enough for me
5.50 GEN D3 is the newest, I think you need to update to 5.50 GEN A first.
1. In my opinion GEN but M33 is good too

2. If you're on 3.85 M33: update to 5.03 OFW > Install ChickHEN R2 on PSP > Run Hellcat's Recovery Flasher > Update to GEN or M33

3. if by must haves you mean apps I use: PSN Lover to access PSN store and online play, Day Viewer, Game Categories..all I can think of at the moment.

4. Not really

5. new games..you can try out MSG: PW

lmao forget step two, I misread the post, I thought you were on 3.85 OFW, do what Grey Ghost said, my apologies

that seems like a lot of fuss. Just use the network update to download 5.00m33 then from there you can update to GEN.
I'd say upgrade to 5.50GEN-D3 and get psnlover so you can use the PSN and online for games.
imo, easiest way, just use Hellcat's Recovery flasher and go straight to 5.00M33-6 or 5.50GEN D3.

Get this: http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1736

then if you want 5.50 GEN D3, get this: http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1939

and you'll need either this or this depending on what firmware you want.
