Endless Paradigm

Barring a horrific case of fraud, I should be the proud owner of a PSP 1002 in a few days.
Of course, I brought such a model to hack it.

Bad news: like everything else I've done related to hacking or flashcart, I have no idea on what to do. Think someone capable of doing technical things, but with no idea of what to actually do.

Good news: I'm sitting in the middle of a veritable ocean of information. The trick now is to work out what I'm right about, and what I'm wrong about. If you guys would care to nudge me in the right direction, it would be appreciated.

1) 5.50 Gen-D2 is the latest CFW, correct? If so, is it the best?
2) Do I still need a Pandora battery, and if so, how hard is it to make one? (The auction I brought from came with a free spare battery, so it's all good)
3) Any major hurdles I should look out for?

1) There's been a D3 and D4 if I'm correct
2) Depends on the firmware, pandora is easy to make though it requires a PSP that's been hacked to made (though I hear you can hard mod batteries) there's tutorials all over the place. I'll see if I can find one later if someone doesn't beat me to it.
3) Unsure.

If you have an existing hacked PSP that can make Pandora batteries, you should be fine.  Or if the firmware on it is ≤ 5.03, you can exploit it.

Might be more difficult otherwise.

Cool beans. I'll drop by once I have my memory stick/card and PSP, see what wee can do.

1. I believe the latest one is D3, but you can try out Prometheus which is sort of like D4

2. Making a pandora battery isn't too difficult but if you are running OFW 5.03 or lower a Pandora battery isn't neccesary

3. Doubt it

if you have ofw 5.03 or lower, you can use HEN to hack it.
ofw higher then 5.03 needs a pandoras battery.

personaly im using 5.00 m33 - have no problems, and still havent converted any iso's i ripped(every thing works fine)

hmm... descided to add, walmart is the best place to get a memstick. i went to game stop and payed 25$ for a damn 2g, went to walmart 2 days later and got an8g for 40$      GAMESTOP=EVIL MONEY HOARDERS
