These things look ridiculous in Dragon Quest IX >_>
Its been awhile since wee last seen these guys! That said though, they're the deadliest enemy here. They can cast Snowstorm which does 90 damage to the entire party. If all four cast it well... at least there's no such thing as a proper Game Over in a Dragon Quest game, right!?
These things give a TON of Exp. Too bad they're kinda hard to kill
But its so totally worth it
But they don't do anything once you cast Stepguard
Two cursed items and an item I already have several of
(Doesn't hurt to have more though)
Stupid Evil Mages
For me? Why thank you Mr. Lifeless Skeleton
And here he is folks! The man himself! Baramos!
Next Time: The final showdown!
Too bad the Water Blaster isn't in this version... >_>
Time to do the first dungeon in the World of Darkness! Are you all PUMPED!?
But first wee have to get there. Unfortunately the random encounter rate here is pretty high
These things are very weak. But they can summon this nasty creature, shown on the next screenshot.
Two turns, has a very good chance of scoring a crit on you. These guys are annoying
Here it is, the first dungeon! The Devil's Nail Mark... well that's what it was called in the Japanese version. I don't have a Thief so I can't check the English version's name >_>
These dungeon is completely anti-magic, which is pretty annoying. I should have bought some Heal Shields before coming here
All the enemies are weak except for the ones shown in this screenshot. Salamanders have a deadly breath attack that does 90(!!!) damage on the entire party. Hydras are pretty much identical to Yamata no Orochi.
Yup, Clerics in front. Truth be told, she's the bulkiest character in the party. Since this is an anti-magic dungeon she can lead the group since she can't do much without magic
Troll Kings can cast Disperse... too bad this dungeon is anti-magic!
You almost have feel sorry for this thing. Since all it does is cast magic
Oh those silly video game villains and their habit to hide items that can defeat them in random dungeons in the world
