When navigating a folder, sometimes when I want to enter the last folder (or open last file) on the list, I press End, followed by Enter.
Main problem with this strategy is if I slip and end up hitting End, Delete and Enter.
(and there's no Recycle Bin for network/USB drives)
Nearly happened to me once...
I do this though usually the file or folder I would want to open isn't the very last one on the list but a few away from the very last so I don't hit enter straight away.
that has happened to me before, & deleted a spreadsheet I was working on for work, had to re-do everything... -_-
Yikes, that really sucks, I agree....
i have my icons on small size so i can scroll really fast, no need for that damned button. if the thing is too big then well, i use the Letter buttons to get to the place i need then scroll

But move hand to mouse = inefficient...
If you're wondering, this is for work and browsing folders which happen to be organised by month & year. Not that I like the file structure they've chosen.
I don't use End for navigating, only docs. *shrugs*
[probably find it too out of the way to bother]

dunno about you but i have my hand on my mouse almost all the time unless it require alot of typing like this post for example, and while browsing folders i don't think you are required to type alot of stuffs. if it's your job then i understand,
* PSPkiller feels superior with laptop. Delete key is placed out of the way in the top right corner...

I do too but I still like pressing end because I tend to have a lot of files in one folder.
