srry e.pplz all these threads around the net about jailbreaking confuses me too much

i have an itouch 1st gen 16gb @ version 1.1.4 (4A102)
i want it to have the latest jailbroken version
but i have absolutely no clue how to do it :/

3.2 is for the ipad...3.1.3 is for the iphone/itouch.

yes update as normal, then exit out of itunes and plug in your itouch.  then run spirit and click the button.  It will take less than 2 seconds then the phone will do a few things on its own and VOILA...broken free from prison :)
