Personally i say leave it, you said she's in a GRADUATING class; which means, she isn't probably going to be around your area forever (hell, maybe a relationship is probably the last thing on her mind). Usually most teens (when graduating) are thinking about where they're going and what not; the only ones who don't do this, are the ones who have no plans. Seriously? It _may_ not be you; because a relationship JUST before you leave highschool is a joke. Such a thing is not only stupid, it's laughably hilarious to consider it (which is probably why she found it funny).

There's always a time and place for these things, it's probably not now and not with her.

To not miss the whole point of this thread, i'd suggest you act normal; that's all there is to it, don't go hugging/groping/etc her though, she might calls the cops.

fake it till you make it - if you're not a confident fellow now, just pretend long enough and you will be later. it's so easy to fudge up first impressions, and some people are not quick to forgive awkward social interaction. basically, live well and be the best person you can be and you can be confident someone will see you and recognize you're a catch. just wait for that. other than that, flirt and have fun, fudge up sometimes, stand back up and keep on going.
