Endless Paradigm

Yeah..im wearing a suit..working 14 hour days wednesday through saturday so I can babysit 2 computers running powerpoint for a bunch of doctors and scientists talking about heart and lung transplants.  :-/  


So, the presenters have remotes that progress the slide automagically and each presenter is on for 50-25 minutes.  So after each presentation i ahve to switch to backup computer that has a logo, change presentations, then switch back to main.

The best part is...EVERY COMPUTER/POWERPOINT/MEMORYSTICK that they have is infected with virus!!!  So my new job is to also minimize the virus popup warning when it comes up LMAO

So that's my week...no per diem (money for food) no hotel room (i have to drive 90 minutes each way), and I am making as much money as I would if i were to be at work in the server room for 8 hours a day... this sucks balls!  

A projectionist got sent home and told not to return.  His job consisted of 'plug in video cables to projector, plug in power cord, verify image is showing..sit for 14 hours.  After that time reverse job and put away projector.

Client snapped a picture of him taking a nap..he is gone...



OOH and I have to stay with my parents so I can ride to the job with my boss because he lives right down the road from them...so this morning i don't remember turning off the first alarm, then i woke up to the second one 10 minutes later...then I set off the smoke detector at 4:30am when i got out of the shower and all the detectors are tied together so my mom dad and dog come runing out of their bedroom thinking there is a fire and I am in my underwear fanning the detector with the door open LMAO  GOOD TIMES GOOD TIMES!!!!

Durrr...This is my iPhone. It takes pictures of me, puts me to the Internet, sends said picture through a matter transport system for digital replication at your location and enjoys the sweet company of a juiced up power plug when it gets tired.

Too cheap for extended desktop?  That's what they do at Uni here... run the Powerpoint through the projector, which is like an extended desktop, so when it's off, you just see the background.
