Endless Paradigm

So, lately at my current job, I have found that the managers really don't give a shit what you do as long as you get your duties done by end of the shift, and you answer the phone when it rings. As a result, some days I spend like 50-70% of the day on my netbook, just IMing and reading forums and stuff. Recently, I decided that I'd start entering contests to be a bit more productive with my time, especially since I am already being paid hourly, plus tips.

So, I started looking up sweepstakes to enter, as there are quite a few out there, everything from Folger's, Intel's "Core Moments", to entering to win a Chevy, or a 1976 custom chopper, to entering to play golf in Scotland.

I've been entering them all, but not the "daily entry" ones, because I don't have the time, nor the drive, to enter daily to improve my chances.

So far, I've entered ~20 contest or so, and was wondering if anyone else ever enters any contests? I mean, it keeps me busy while I wait to get off work, and if I were to win, it'd be like I was being paid extra per hour in a way, you know?  What about you guys? Anyone here enter contests ever?

I have never entered in contests. Because you can't fail if you don't participate

I've entered a few that peak my interest... but I just always think they are a scam...
I've never one anything, and for all I know all the "winners" are entirely fake...
so I always wonder but never see the point :/

Not here as I just naturally think I won't win, so I don't bother with them...
But if you've got nothing better to do, why not?

That's how I am most of the time. Always something more important to be doing. However, when I'm being paid to do nothing at work, I can't always be doing things I normally would, like homework, games, hanging out with gf. So, I surf net and try to be as productive as I can be. Though my chances are low, it makes time go by faster and has a slight chance of making my income/hr a bit higher if I get lucky.
