I'm worried about the implications of privacy of this service. If I joined, a whole bunch of people I know, who I'd rather they not know each other, would probably do what I don't wish to intend...

say, you want to show a funny picture of your latest activity to all of your friends, what's the best way to do?
1. PM all of em on IMs
2. Put it as your personal message on IMs
3. Put it on facebook so those who cares about it can comment on it.
results:

3. > don't see any harm come outta it.

i use it, only way for me to communicate to old friends in philippines.
and just hide all random application they use.

yeah.... the IM is the only feature i really care for..... i may just b lock everything in future and use facebook only as a way to communicate to friends

look, it's not about popularity if you don't want it to. I'm not a "i can has moar friend than you I'm cool" nor anything else. and neither does 99% of my friends.
and might i ask why you guys hate it so much anyway? it hasn't done anything to you, especially when you don't even have an account, and you can tell em to stop sending you invitations.

I spose I prefer it because I really don't like IMs at all. I never use Facebook chat.
I like it for the event stuff and generally saying what's on my mind. It's good for sharing links also.
