Maybe u should make it double posting WILL actually display on the "recent posts" thing on the main page.

Cause it's officially another post, and that way, u can bump a thread even when the last post was yours.

The double post merger is based on time.  If I recall correctly, 30 minutes.  Might be 15, can't remember.
If you want, I can reduce the time.
The idea is to stop over-double posting, and also makes things more convenient at times...
