I don't even know why I write this, it won't change anything but I just feel like it...
Wee have two budgies, a male one and a female one who always causes mischief and is

curious like hell... she's so fun to watch or rather was....

My mum wanted to arrange some flowers on the balcony and when she came back it she wasn't fast enough and the female one, Yuki, slipped right through the door outside...

I quickly tried to follow where she was flying but I lost sight of her.... I ran down the stairs and looked on every tree, knowing it was futile but I still did it...

My mum put our male one, Joey, back in the cage and put the cage outside on the balcony hoping Yuki would see her cage and find back, hack, Joey tweeted like hell but she never came.....

The balcony is still open and the cage stands on the living room table...

I goddamn feel like crying, she was so fun, something is missing and I know she probably won't survive with these temperatures here....

Some people will probably say it's stupid to cry over a budgie but she was a part of the family, no matter what she was... and I don't care what science says over the intelligence and self awareness of birds, she had a unique personality and loved to tease others.....
And if there was something new in the living room she swiftly explored it and caused mischief....

So yeah now I'm sitting here, playing FF13 to distract myself and trying to not think about anything.... I blamed my mum at first but I know it was an accident but hell.... I just feel sad and damn....
i don't know what a budgie is, but your story was sad. im sorry Sadist

it's a kind of parrot isn't it?
^^; parrots are smart. if you treated it well, there's a big chance that she'll come back. just hope she doesn't get into any trouble on the way.
Sorry to hear Sky. It's a shame that these things happen - but take what Heartless said too.. theres no harm to have hope.
Thanks guys..... Of course it's never wrong to have hope, it's just these birds have a very bad sense of direction when it comes to their homes as normally they are moving birds with no concrete place to live....

these are budgies by the way. dunno if there's another english term:

I personally know those as parakeets here. and it's sad to hear about what happened to ya. Hope thing turn out for the better.
My aunt had 6 of those one day while cleaning cage, was careless and they all flew out, it's been months and never heard of them again. It was rather sad, she spent that day very depressed.
^ Actually I was surprised Budgies aren't that well known :/
I can relate with your aunt Ekusoshisuto.... Yuki was already our 6th parakeet, they don't get very old. The loss of the other four wasn't that hard for me because they died a natural death so I knew it was just nature.... I just hope someone finds her, even if that person doesn't phone the animal shelter but keeps her, atleast she would be save...
damn sky im sorry to hear that

im sure you're the one who named her 'Yuki', a nice name: 'Snow'
