So i know many of you guys here have experience in coding and such (Zinga specifically) and since I'm one of the many troubled youths this generation that can't decide what to be, i wanted to take up my passions to see where i want to end up.
It's simple, i take a bunch of courses that i really don't get any satisfaction out of (physics, calculus, chemistry, etc.) to become a computer engineer because "I love computers." Though, in this regard, i haven't been doing a stellar job in the subjects and i feel like as if I'm learning nothing. So instead of wasting my time playing a video game or something else that is useless, i want to find out (from the internet, i have no money at all) how to code and make html websites.
It's not like I'm flaunting my graphics skills, but i feel that i have a good graphical background and i should apply it to where it's needed most of the time; websites. So, in turn, i want to learn CSS/HTML so i can make site of my own and gain experience that i could apply to my future position.
I know the obvious thing is, "go to school", but this is something i want to do on my spare time; hell, even make money out of it. I can do school forever, but i have absolutely no background in hands on work experience, i need something that i could use to net me money during school; it's basically developing a passion/skill that I LIKE to learn about.
So i was just wondering, are there any online resources that you could use to learn about something; or am i better off just going to a class.
Share experiences and ideas; thanks guys

Spoiler for Oh noes he's making this an emo thread:
P.S. I feel like that I'm not committing to my passion, if i loved computers and math; i should be destroying those subjects, which I'm not. So i feel that if i start looking to explore something i like doing, then maybe this will rekindle my passion to do better in these subjects. You could basically say I'm trying to find myself, so i can find something i like to do, apply for it, get money and live a happy life till I'm dead
