Here's my problem. My mom has asked me to install some type of monitoring software on my brother's laptop. She doesn't really trust him on the Internet and I can't block his MAC address on the router without it blocking everyone else for some reason. Anyways, I decided that I'd have fun and go with a RAT (remote administrative tool/trojan). If you don't know what that is, Google it. My problem is that when I get the server installed on his laptop, it never connects to my client on my laptop. I have the ports forwarded for it and his IP put into the settings. I've tested it on myself by using 127.0.0.1 as the IP and it worked fine. I tried setting up a DNS host through no-ip to see if that would help. It did not...I'm mainly posting this to see if any of you have any experience with these (but I doubt it) and if you could possibly help me.
Give it the internal LAN IP. Make sure you're using static IPs on all machines.
Hmm, ok. I'll remake the server in a bit and try to get installed.
Does she not want him looking at people "chatting" over a "nice cup of tea" with really big "rich tea biscuits" while bouncing up and down on the "extremely springy deck chairs on the patio". Or what about those people to like to "draw" everywhere? Where there's a woman kneeling and he's "drawing" all over her face with a "permanent marker". How about when they shove a really big "pan" into her "oven" and then they pull it out and "cook it" on her "hob".....

what's a hob?

What's not a hob, that story made me hungry!
Disable Windows Firewall and disable notifications in the tray on the hosting machine as well.. tends to get in the way. [Yeah yeah you can do program specific allowances but its a serious waste of time]

I can open an RD stream with this and he wouldn't even know.

A hob is what you cook stuff on.
As in the top of a cooker....
Glad it did Schmilk :P glad it did.
