Endless Paradigm

Alright so my friend and I were trying to figure out this game wee used to play in like third grade on sega genesis. Wee can't remember the name of the game but all wee can remember is that it was a fast paced shooter with robots and everything was silver/metallic and it kinda reminds me of megaman. If anyone knows what game I am talking about please give me any info.

I thought that was it too, but I don't think it is. If I remember correctly, there was multiplayer.

Contra Hard Corps?

Well you played as humans in that but in  some european versions of contra games you played as robots instead

EDIT:

Here's a screenshot. You only said it had robots, not that you played as robots (well one character was a robot) so I'm having a better feeling my guess may be right.

No it wasn't Contra, all I can remember about the game is that I think there were 2 players that were robots (I think?) and you can fly (maybe?) and its a side scroller with more robots that reminds me of metal slug, and there are guns that shoot out lazers and circular bullets at bigger robots coming from every direction. I wish I could remember more, but that's about it.

The only other 2 player shooting game I know of on the genesis is gunstar heroes but there's more human enemies if I remember correctly and the colors are more bright, vivid and varied not all silver and metallic.
