For those who find the PSP's volume too soft, I happened to stumble across this plugin.
Just stick in ms0:/seplugins and add the appropriate line to ms0:/seplugins/*.txt

It increases the volume a fair bit.  Am not sure whether this somehow increases the maximum volume capability, or applies a "dumb gain" - if the latter, you may get some sound distortion (though it may be preferable to inaudible sound).

Source says to press Home+R, but it was enabled for me without that key combo.

Wouldn't this effect the volume even more because i hear speakers wear out, And this plugin would just speed up the process (correct me if I'm wrong)
I would assume this applies a gain to the volume, as opposed to some voltage, or whatever the thing is, increase to the speakers.  I haven't heard of louder volume really causing speakers to wear out quicker, though I wouldn't discount it as impossible.

A gain would just be like turning up the volume on your computer, except it may cause clipping.
I have tested this and it works ^^
Updated my other slim-2000 and i indeed noticed the speakers were making crackling sounds the first 5 min,. :/ so i hope they won't wear out,..

Have't had use for a volume plugin yet,. i do wander why sony disabled the equalizer on the speakers and only working for the ear-plugs?
does this apply the gain to headphone output too?

that would make me happy. ;D

that.

Though I make sure I convert everything so that they're already loud.
Cool, thanks for this ^_^
awesome i can't hear very well so things are always quiet for me

Thanks for the info ;)
Didn't try it on the speakers.  Probably the only use people would have for this is if they find it difficult to hear stuff on the bus/train (though personally, the max volume on the PSP is already really loud for me, and I wouldn't risk damaging my ears like that).
Yes, it works with the headphones, and from what I can tell, it doesn't appear to be applying a gain, but it's so loud that I didn't turn it up all the way.
