Endless Paradigm

Seriously guys this is frustrating the hell out of me...
I tried to hack a friends PSP Slim, it's a PSP 2004 Slim DATE CODE 8C so no Pandora.
This is why wee tried 5.03GEN-C.

I had originally 5.02 so wee updated to 5.03 with a eboot from psp-hacks.

Wee got ChickHEN R2 running successfully, ran the GEN5.03-C GUI (PSP2000, FULL, PSP Install YES) and the files are copied over, she rans the installer on her PSP and it says press L or R to flash the files. She pressed R and it reports success, then she presses o to reboot into CFW and BAM her PSP gets black and shuts off, no CFW or anything, what the hell are wee doing wrong??? Wee're trying it for several hours over the phone now with no success, help please!

I wish i could. Maybe she didn't have full charged psp during flash? I've never recovered a slim without pandora battery i wish i could help.

maybe start with genb and see if that works, then do genc?

I''ve never had problems like that :-/  the only problem I've had with my 3000 is hen not crashing properly (:

i didn't experience that! try restore factory setting before doing the process.

hm id like to help but i don't have experience in the hen/5.03gen firmware yet i haven't yet had to install it for anyone. maybe because the 5.03GEN is mainly designed for the 3000? although that shouldn't matter should it? both 5.03 ofw will be them same on both the 3000 and 2000 im at a lost sorry id have to try it myself

also starting gen c while holding the L trigger gives the option to uninstall files.  Maybe do that first then try genb.

Sorry for double post, but I just realized something....
That damn download was labeled wrong, it states GEN-C while in reality it's GEN-A... could this have caused the problems?
Also could anyone give me a valid link for 5.03GEN-C to install on her 5.03 OFW?^^
