Very sorry - actually, it's my silly mistake which caused all this - I managed to track down where I stuffed up and fixed it.
(if you're wondering what the issue was, I thought the number after a "/" in an IP range referred to the host bits, when it actually refers to subnet bits, so when I blocked 124.x.x.0/8 I ended up blocking all of 124.*; the correct notation is 124.x.x.0/24)
