i have had enough of this itunes poo poo. from now on, the only thing i gonna use it for is updating ipod
I'm currently tempted for winamp, but does it have a browser like itunes? not Internet browser, the Genre>Artist> album browser?
some people also told me to use foobar, but the last time i tried it, it didn't have a browser, so i stopped.
Yeah, winamp has that, it has quite a nice browser imo
MediaMonkey is quite similar to itunes, but rather nicer to use, and far more responsive, and supposedly has support for winamp plugins, though ive never tried it
hmphh I'll give winamp a try. any thing else i should pay attention to?
MediaMonkey is the best if you have a decent amount of music - easily.. and with what you want, MM will be perfect for you [much better than Winamp].
Winamp if you don't care about your library that much.
I'm using Winamp right now because installing iTunes broke MediaMonkey.
Because I'm getting so annoyed with how inefficient it is to do ANYTHING in Winamp - I'm determined to fix MM when I get home.
I'm doing fine and dandy with Zune software.
I actually consider Winamp fairly intuitive, and i have 3000 odd tracks, so its not a particularly small collection (well, maybe to you, but not by my standards)
But Mediamonkey does seem to work quite well i must admit, and if you download the new version it supports the newest ipods, supposedly quite well
i do have about 15~gb of music or so, so i gonna give mediamonkey a try.

Good stuff, I had database index trouble with the older one.
WinAmp can be frustrating with library browsing [probably because it isn't as extended as MM] and I have problems with skins when scrolling because it renders the lists wrong >_>

hes right zune software is the best it feels more simple than itunes (*^*)
only problem i have is it not have a toolbar for my internet browser like win-amp(-_-)
i don't care for user friendly, really. advanced user needs more convenience features.
having trouble deciding between winamp and MM.
MM themes sucked.
and winamp is just too much of a trouble to navigate.
