I also don't care that you didn't see that part.
That's weird,. maybe you bumped into the graphics card trying to mount the hdd>?>? ,..
to bad you live liek 20.000 miles away because i still have a geforce gts wich i don't use,. no directx11 but still very good graphics card,. ;p
Probably just me but all MSI stuff I've had seems to have broken. Had a dodgy MSI motherboard which finally died about a year ago (lasted around 3 years, but started weird issues long before that) and now the GPU. I doubt it's something like static or knocking the card - there's really only a few capacitors at that end of the card and I tried pushing them but they were quite solid.
Dunno - probably me though as many others don't seem to have issues.
Anyway, that card definitely doesn't have fan control - the fan is always on despite the the control panel saying 0%. Checked on MSI's website and it says some of its cards don't have fan control.
And thanks for the offer Vegetano1 :)
Am currently using my netbook hooked up to monitor and all that. Damn this thing is silent!

Lol, so you got one of the chocolatetier ones? Because my brother's definitely does have fan control...
MSI has three 4670's with 512MB graphics memory - mine's
the one in the middle - maybe your brother
has the OC'd version (with custom cooler)?
EDIT: interestingly, the site says it isn't OC'd... though they tend to stick the Zalman fan on their OC versions, weird.

Radeon 4770 ~ $120: more powerful than 5670, but costs more too, plus no DX11 (even though I don't care about it that much)
Geforce 9600GT ~ $90: cheaper, but less powerful, less energy efficient and no DX11
GT240 ~ $103: still not as powerful as the 5670

Quote:nvidia-gf100 details contain many big words but no price.

tried to find info about the price,. with no luck,.. yet,.
so basicly there are no prices out,..
could be very high,. but if they want to stay in the ATI directx11 price range the price of a gf100 could be lower then expected,. ;)
