Okay there's a site I can only access using a proxy server and I would used to use HideIP platinum and it would work.
But ever since I got this new ISP, HideIP stopped changing Proxies :/
I decided to use foxy proxy instead, I checked out the instructions on how to use and already I was confused.
Many thanks in advance.
Go here and get a proxy:

Note that not all of 'em will work. Oh, and if you're bored, you can look into tor as well.
Now add one to FoxyProxy (type a name, enter stuff under HTTP Proxy for Proxy Details tab, and add the website under Patterns). What part do you get confused at?

It's adding the proxies that's confusing O_O
In options:
- Click Add New Proxy
- Type a Name
- Click on the 2nd tab (Proxy Details)
- Make sure Manual Proxy Config button is selected
- HTTP Proxy - enter the address and port
- Click 3rd tab
- Click Add Pattern
- Type a name
- Type URL in the URL box
- Click OK to everything
- Make sure FoxyProxy is enabled too
Finding reliable proxies is the hard part. If you have an old desktop or
something, I'd suggest you follow their instructions and make ur own proxy.
Er. Depending on what u want it for lol.
I set up a proxy server with a sniffer (Ettercap) to grab logins and passwords a couple years back and logged all the traffic.
I set max connections to 5, and max traffic, (both ways) to 100kbps per connection.
I let it run for two weeks after posting it all over the web and ended up with dozens of email accounts, hershey kisses memberships, eBay, etc.
6 or 7 people used encryption, I don't even want to know what they were up to compared to some of the other stuff that was logged.
Two people did thier banking.
It took me a couple days to set up, as I had to do it all manually. Nowadays there are a lot more methods and tools for mapping and tunneling.
Creepy no?
That's why you generally don't do that kinda stuff over proxies...
Well, it also does depend too - like banking, I definitely would not. But stuff like email, I don't really think others would care about my email account...
Security wise, it's really up to you...
