Hmmm....I have a little more faith with this one (mainly because they are Japanese devs). Wee can only hope.

Yes.  I'm assuming that the PSP 2000 models with "blocked bases" it won't run on is the TA-088V3 + motherboards.  

And of course it won't run on PSP 3000 as the IPL has not been cracked yet...

That was my interpretation of what they where trying to say anyway.

Fake until released in my books, but this sounds more legit i'd have to say

Unless you're doing paid work (or stuff of that kind), hardly anyone puts release dates on things, at least, ones that are more about a week into the future (assuming it's still being worked on).
