wee arn't saying you're gonna fail. wee arn't saying you learn it to watch anime. but you have to set more goals. liking japan? loving the country? people usually are satisfied with just one vacation in tokyo. that's no reason, dood.
whatever you say, you understand yourself better than us. :P

wee're only saying it's hard, if you don't have a certain requirements. if you do then go ahead, either do it my way, or take night classes. I'm sure those exist.

to be frank here. my reason at first was pretty simple, to play games, instead of hoping for a translation patch. but then it gets more complicated.

so yeah, set more goals for yourself. save up for an actual japan trip, make some japanese friends. play some japanese MMOs.

Lol, doesn't sound a whole lot better than to understand anime.

Hearty-chan absolutely must understand exactly what's going on in his h-games?
no, not H games. at first it was stuffs like Super Robot war, Phoenix Wrights(or gyakuten saiban for that matter), yakuza, pokemon, etc. REAL games, not VNs
i did not even know about their existents till a few years ago.

but yeah, a few years ago, it turned into something much more complicated. :P
perhaps i should get a DS and Love Plus

LOL

and yes, understanding games is just like trying to understand anime... meaning it is still perfectly possible if you want to enough.

which i do. maybe i should save for a trip to japan.
no, anime is different from games really. anime contains mostly informal stuffs, which is pretty twisted compare to the correct grammar. but games, while they do have some of those stuffs, like "disasterific" (guess what game without googling the word) the item descriptions, the monologues, the story telling and the biographies, they are all like a book basically.

how you use informal language is extremely different in different languages.
in vietnamese, sarcasm is usually used for insults. not jokes.
