After my initial try of only getting 30unplayable FPS in New Super Mario I cracked open a beer and decided I need to get this to run full speed on my computer.

Now I have this running full speed (maybe faster) on my core2duo 3.00ghz with 512mb ati HD4670 full screen at 1680x1050 :D

If you have ATI card the OpenGL graphics engine SUCKS!!  Instead go to

Config - Plugins - and change Graphics to Dolphin Direct3D9
Then press the config button
Set the aspect ration you want, set fullscreen resolution,
i have anti-alias set to 8x and safe texture cache enabled

On enhancements screen i have on EFB Scaled Copy enabled

On Advanced screen I have overlay FPS *even though it doesn't show :(
And EFB Copy Enable and a dot on To Texture.

With these settings the New Super Mario plays WAAAAY FAST!!!  Compared to the unplayed OpenGL version which topped out at 30fps while sitting still in the game :(

This is pretty sweet..got my wired xbox360 controller setup as a virtual wiimote and im almost done with world 1 :D  HEHEHEE...no need for a wii for mii!!

The EFB to texture seems to be the main speed up, but it stuffs up some of the graphics in the game (rather minor though IMO).
will faster graphics card help resolve slow framrate>?

Knock-knock Mario Galaxy 2 is still bit slow,.

Emulation is different from games in that it's generally the other way around - while games are heavy on the GPU, emulation is heavy on the CPU.

Don't know about Dolphin specifically, but PCSX2 takes likes 5-15x the CPU power as the original PS2.  Try overclocking your CPU.

Oh yeah, Dolphin can only use 2 CPU cores currently.
