Yea, judging by comparison to the mini b cable in the display picture it looks like the near perfect size for the UMD slot. And if it isn't, shaving a bit off the edges doesn't look like it will hurt

first off, i know that this is definitely only feasible with a Phat (1000) PSP.
I also know that the biggest space in a PSP is it's UMD drive. this would have to go.
leaving you with a space that is 7cm wide, 7cm tall and abut 1.5cm thick.
assuming you want to have this completely internal... you would buy your mat, and one of these.

remove the casing, strip the main insulation off of the PowerCube miniUSB cable and find the + and - points of the port with a multimeter (if there are more than one choose the PSP's correct charging voltage (5V)). then extend the wires if required to the two terminals of the power plug on the motherboard. solder on. bam. there you have it, a fully internal PowerMat-enabled PSP, that is of course assuming it can charge through the plastic of the UMD door. :P
its been ages since a good mod came out
that's what i was thinking. my psp is already missing the umd so that's easy.
also, you have to put into mind, the hardware inside the pucks casing might be reletavly small compared to the case, so it might be feasible with a psp 2000 and 3000. untill wee get the puck, wee will never know.
and as for the mat and the puck, When you buy the mat im pretty sure it comes with the cube, and not seperate.

roberth Wrote:admittedly, wee don't have the actual dimensions of that cube, but im willing to bet it would fit in the UMD slot fairly easily
yes, you do. its on the powermat website.
PowerMat Site Wrote:Dimensions: 2.5 cm x 5 cm x 7.5 cm (HxWxD)
and of course, this is WITH the case on. Without, it will be much much smaller.
