I followed your tutorial to put a jpeg as a Background to combine it with XMB Waves and it is great. There is any chance of using the custom background jpeg file an load it not via "original" theme in settings menu (grey), since it would be great put custom background+XMB waves+theme 07 (blue one for my custom theme, see image below...)

^^It's possible, but you'll have to stick the JPEG at the right offset.
It's a little tricky though.
Okie dokie. You'll need a hex editor. Now, you need to see what month the blue theme is. Now shove it into this formula:
So, if it's February (month #2), the offset will be 6176.
Now that wee have the offset, open up your favourite hex editor, and insert offset bytes (so for Feb, insert 6176 empty bytes). Now add your JPEG to the end of this, and save this as 01-12.bmp
