Don't read too much into this topic, I'm not suicidal or anything. Was just bored.

You ever think about how wee really wouldn't know if one of us died, unless they knew another member IRL? Same thing on all forums, as well as any on-going multiplayer games one might be playing. You could be waiting for someone to make his move, and the game just sits there for a month, until it auto-resigns him. All the time, you were playing a game with someone who had died during its course.

Because of this, I wonder if anyone has stated in their will that they want their closest relative to visit all the sites the deceased frequented during his/her life, and announce my death. Just so there's no confusion. It'd certainly be weird to imagine your loved one having to type "I'm sorry everyone, but I died" or something like that, like 10 times, once for each forum, youtube, facebook, whatever.

It'd be kind of creepy to have people posting on my youtube profile or on my game profiles messages that are wasted on dead ears. Sort of morbid, I know, but the netz must know when I am gone! There will be a month of international mourning, of this I'm sure.
im already dead
Im not sure, but I theres a possibility either my younger sister or older brother (AoS) would let you know.

...

:O this is making me sadddddddd

i did before Aha

it would be really weird yes :/
I actually spoke with an administrator of a forum who knew the mods in real life...

Having had quite a deep conversation only a week or two before.. I couldnĀ“t go back to the forum again after he had a motorcycle accident on the motorway.

Rest in Peace G.
The real Sparker died months ago, I am a close relative of the original Sparker. When the original Sparker was in hospital, the grim reaper was announced to come for a visit so the original Sparker left me all passwords Sparker used.
On an old forum i was on which was very small and personal one member died in a car crash and his wife posted the news to let us know :(
Yes i thought also about it , well wee should invent some smart message , who can detect if something happens to us someday.
I was thinking, you know, maybe if wee had it connected to facebook or something. Whenever someone dies, that person's facebook, nowadays, or at least their close relatives' facebooks get intense traffic. Wonder if you could use this to determine if something like that occurred. I don't know, just a thought...
