I know there are some people here who use Apple macbooks...

Can you tell me the user experience, since I'mm considering getting a macbook for professional related purposes. If I aim for a Windows based notebook, my gamer instincts will keep getting in the way.

So how is working with official Mac OS (I played with the hackintosh for a few hours, not real Macintosh lol). Can it hacked or does every necessary software have to purchased (example Ms Office, PS etc).

How is the usability experience over a long duration.

Anyone who has used/owns a macbook, please tell me.
if its gaming that's an issue, why not use linux? anything but mac...
Imagine Linux with a very detailed UI and windows that can't maximize. That's OS X. Other than the nice looking design of the system, it's poo poo. It's mainly useful to those who design, edit movies, and work with music. As far as other computer poo poo goes, say goodbye.

Professionally, I may get good experience by using Macs, but never Linux.... also, I want to become more skilled in PS, FW, Maya, Office (personal and professional preference, lol)... Also, despite my having used Ubuntu very many times, I end getting bored of it as I prefer noob-ness in daily life (I'm the real-life definition of Lazy).

Also, Linux can be installed on a macbook too. If the main laptop is windows based, then I will still try to go for a high hardware lappy.

I'm into one of those fields... only Heartless141 knows and I'd rather remain anonymous, lol...

Its not exactly music, but involves a lot of PS, Office and some other apps...

Just for clarifying, its not IT-related/technical directly.
Bah...I use Fireworks and I manage pretty well on Windows.

I'm bored of Windows... that's another reason.. lol ...

The macbook is what I may go for, hopefully...

Another reason I want a macbook is because I actually do like its design....

Any reviews anyone?
Like you, I've used OSx86 for a long time. The difference isn't very big. :-\

Mac people are the douches of the computer world.

Also think about this. If you make this your main computer, then you're going to have fun with "upgrading". Macs don't have any interchangeable parts whatsoever.

That's the point... I don't want to spend more than what's necessary on the laptop... And, its also supposed to be a "fun" device...

My PC is my game machine... No way I can work on it.. e
