Does anyone else here play this wonderful RPG?

If so, respond, and I'll post up my friend code, and wee can get some monster shootan and killan up in here.

If you are unaware, PSZ is an RPG game on the DS platform, and it has three real modes:
"Story" mode, which is the main plot, but played single player
The wifi "Free play" option which, while it lets you play with others over the internets, you are restricted to just roaming through each level, and are limited to that which you've already completed and unlocked;
and lastly, the play with a friend mode. Since I know nobody who has this game and wifi,  I haven't had a chance to see what it is; but I think it's the story mode, but co-op.

The game is much better with human players, because while the AI can support you and help a little bit in story mode, it's largely retarded and you tend to spend a lot of time bailing these guys out.
That and the AI characters cannot upgrade, and they're always using third-to-fourth rate weapons. (They hit 8-15 damage on enemies with melee and magic, I hit 60 without trying, using ranged weapons.)
I <3 Phantasy Star.

I loved PSO, and I'm playing PS:P again. :D
* Syfe waits for PS:P2

that series is awesome. number 2 will allow you to play as your character from the first game
Never even played it until now, to be honest. Glad I did; this game allows you to make any one of three races, and make them specialise in whatever range.

Cloud's cool and all, but he doesn't use guns. My ranger-CAST uses TWO, and eats dragons, snow yeti, giant swamp-dwelling octopi and mythylogical deities for breakfast. And he can use a gunblade. 8D
is it real time, or turn based?
Real time mah boi.

Unfortunately, that's quite literal; even single player continues to run like you were in a multiplayer game, so if you're switching healing items or your weapon, you have to do it fast, because you can still be killed while paused. It's never happened to me, but then, my gunblade is usually versatile enough for all jobs; slashing or shooting monsters, it's all good.
where did the cloud reference come from?

weird.

i recommend the series. i wonder if they will make a new Online game.
sounds like final fantasy, especially the cloud and gunblade bit...
lol, ive been playing phantasy star 4 in old sega genesis, and its quite fun, especially finishing some side quests there, and yeah I've play phantasy star portable, have no nds so i can't play that, lol
i read a review on it once. was ranked a gaming masterpiece. well worth checking out.
