I was playing around with it in winamp today, just for a bit of fun, and to get better use out of my music collection, and it actually threw up some interesting results. It was consitently giving me the same few songs showing up amonst all the obvious ones. Certain artists, and certain albums were showing up in direct relation to certain others, ever relationships which i would never have placed myself, and certain songs, which never struck me as similar before, were being put next to one another and working really well. These programs are actually really good at generating good playlists, and notice things about my songs which i wouldnt have done, were i not trying to find the connections

So, do you use them. Do you think theyre acurate, or do they just throw up random songs for you? have them ever caused you to think about songs differently, or am i just reading to much into them?
always found em inaccurate.

:<
i only really listen to albums and then switch album when i get bored of that album, shuffle and genius annoy me too much
Nah never used it.
How does one go about generating an auto playlist in Winamp? I've never done it because I didn't know Winamp could do it. Back when I used to use WMP I just found the results inaccurate and repetitive.
Right click on a track, and select plays songs similar to...

It generates info on your tracks, and then should start working
Never even heard of it but I was wondering if there was a feature :P thanks roberth :)
Never.
nope^^
I chuck songs into one big playlist, enable shuffle and leave it there.  If don't like something, I hit the skip track button and that's it.
Though I might try these just to see how well they work.
